happy monday all…

apologies i’m a little late with this month’s edition of country kitchen alchemy, but hopefully it’s worth the wait…

we’re mixing it up a bit this time around & instead of bringing you one ingredient two ways, lisa has been inspired by her recent travels & in turn is hoping to inspire you with the tastes of a tropical paradise…

enjoy, wherever you are!

  1. I love this series. You can really tell how much love goes into the food she creates. Those chicken skewers look incredible, and are making my mouth water. It’s too early for lunch here though…drat!

Now, this might be the most ignorant thing I’ve ever asked, but I’m genuinely curious: how do you eat prawns with all the legs and head bits still on? We run into this problem whenever we travel abroad and forget that outside of America, the chef doesn’t peel the thing for you, and thus we always end up looking like idiots trying to wrestle with them and pry the teensy legs and eyeballs off. I hate admitting that, but it’s true! I guess we take fully-peeled shrimp/prawns here for granted. xo

    • lisa really, really, really loves her food & eating at her house is like dining out! you even get choices!!! haha! as for the prawns… twist off the head, rip off the legs, & shimmy off the shell & tail whilst holding onto the flesh… & don’t forget to remove the poop shoot! but to be honest, i hate it when my food comes with admin… so i prefer the pre-shelled ones too!

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
