happy friday all…

i thought i’d save this month’s edition of country kitchen alchemy until the end of the week so it’d be fresh on your minds come saturday market shopping!

& the ingredient you’ll be wanting to keep a keen eye out for this month is figs {or should i say, figs glorious figs: because i love them that much}…

having just returned from oz where the trees are positively laden with them, i can safely say i have eaten half my body weight in figs already this month…

my favourite way to eat them is fresh off the tree & straight into my belly, but for those who can resist the initial temptation here are some fabulous options for baking with figs that lisa has lovingly prepared…

{oh, & don’t fret if, like me, you’re currently in the northern hemisphere as i just clocked some fresh figs in my local, so we can join in the great april bake-off too!}
