second time around {toast ss/2013}…

a nomadic abode_second time around

just a fly-by visit today as i’m out the door antique shopping this morning…

i wanted to quickly share something which made me smile…

i pulled some pages from the ss/2013 toast catalogue recently because i was quite taken with some of the colours…

& then i realised i’d seen them somewhere before, namely on my living room wall!

this portrait was painted by my eldest brother, circa 1970s, & the catalogue pages are hot off the press some 40+ years later…

  1. Such a sweet painting! I love Toast, I found a great pair of brogues there that I passed on and have been regretting ever since! Your brother is pretty talented!

    • toast really does do some fabulous stuff… a bit too pricey for me at times, but worth checking out in the sales! & yes, i love that painting… my brother doesn’t paint these days… he’s more into woodwork, but very talented at most things he puts his hands to (i think i’m the only one in the family lacking this trait)…

    • sadly he didn’t paint it for me, i “borrowed” it after i found it buried in one of my parents’ cupboards back home! haha! i love the colours too… would never have thought to have used those for such a subject, but they work brilliantly!

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
