the sunday nook {snow patrol}…

let it snow

with talk of snow on the news tonight, we’re taking it outdoors for today’s nook…

i for one could spend many an hour marvelling at the landscape as it disappears beneath a blanket of virgin frosting…

& where better to do so than from the comfort of a cosy log cabin, complete with tree stump supports {nice touch} & a porch with a prime view…

throw a nanna blanket & a mug of hot chocolate into the equation & i’m pretty much sold, though truth be told if this were my nook i might be forced to install an outdoor fireplace, repurpose the wicker furnishings as kindling & plonk a couple of vintage leather club chairs on deck swaddled in woollen throws & a healthy dose of hide…

a nip of rum to spice up proceedings & there we have it, the perfect possie for a snow patrol…

  1. What a gorgeous spot! After spending nearly seven years in Southern California, I thought that was home to my soul, BUT! I think I’d miss snow too much to go back completely. We don’t get enough snow here in Virginia for my liking, so now I’m on the hunt for another dream place to land. In the far away future, that is.

  2. I think in my last life I must’ve been a polar bear or maybe a penguin or something, because I LOVE the snow. I’d sit out in that cosy spot for hours with a steaming mug of tea and my nose turning bright red from the chill. That’s such a lovely nook. Did it really snow for you guys? So jealous. We’re told we’re going to have a white winter but today it’s in the 60s! Bring on the snow!!

    • it snowed up north, but sadly not in london! i’m like you, distinct arctic creature… i seriously get so excited watching snow fall, it’s a little embarrassing exactly how excited i get! have you ever watched the movie the family stone? makes me blub every time with the mum standing at the kitchen window watching the snow fall with wonderment in her eyes, knowing it’s the last time she’ll see it as she’s dying!

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
