more mr wong {sibella court}…

i just had to share some more deliciousness from the world of stylist sibella court today…

remember a while back i posted on a new sydney-based restaurant called mr wong… well, here’s some more eye candy…

a hardware wall…

timber floors inlaid with morroccan tiles…

a panelled bar {& check out the tiled backsplash}…

an internal staircase enveloping a windowed wine cellar…

bistro chairs &, sigh, that green! that exquisite shade of green which positively brings this corner to life…

i shall promptly file this under ‘decor i wish i’d designed’…

to bare witness to even more beauty i encourage you to go straight to the source

back later with some exciting news!

  1. Oh, swoon. Big, big swoon. I can see myself sitting at that bar, and just imagine the moodiness and the vibe in that staircase in the wine closet…wow. I might use this for writing-inspiration. Those photos are so evocative and inspiring! Thank you for sharing. I know there’s a difference in popularity between the US and the UK (no one here has heard of Abigail Ahern) but I think I’ve really missed out on Sibella Court. You’ve been talking about her for a while and I think I need to start listening (REALLY listening) and start investigating. I love everything she does, it seems!

    • sibella’s definitely one to watch… she’s actually australian, but was based in new york for many years (maybe 10) so she might be better known stateside than abigail… i can’t wait to go to her shop next time i’m in sydney! check out her website, it’s got more design work on it… she also has a paint range with the most glorious names ever… finally, i highly recommend her book etcetera!

  2. Her work is beautiful and she’s very talented. Am sure her shop is fab. Abigail really keen to open shop in Australia too. Her book is good but think future books will be better…

    • some days i’m just so damned proud to be australian… there is sooooo much talent back home, i love surrounding myself with it because of course i can relate with the aesthetic more… there’s only a few real exceptions here for me… abigail, ilse, etc {basically anyone who designs with heart & soul} 🙂

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
