london calling {west elm}…

dear west elm

it’s time i let you know… i can hide my true feelings no longer…

though i appreciate i may never have publicly declared my love before now, it’s true… i’m a fan…

though an ocean parts us, it hasn’t diminished my appreciation for your wares… often i find myself clicking through your online store late at night, staring longingly at your offerings…

if we lived in the same country i seriously think we would be firm friends & regular catch-ups would ensue…

which is why your latest act, one that can only be interpreted as some form of betrayal, wounds like a knife to the heart…

why, why, oh why have you recently decided that my long-coveted carved mango wood coffee table, of which i planned to order two, is no longer available for international shipping?

it’s taunted me for many months now… flitting in & out of my online shopping cart… waiting, just waiting for the pennies in my bank account to match the price tag & egregious international shipping cost…

did you take my seemingly non-committal actions as a sign of disinterest? i assure you they were not!

did you neither realise nor care that the sculptural beauty of this piece fits poetically with my home’s modern global aesthetic? how could you?

did you fail to appreciate that with all the harsh angles currently occupying my abode, a curve or two was called for? surely not?

i’m sorry… but this time i think you’ve gone too far…

tell me you’ll reconsider… let us be friends once more…

  1. Have they stopped international shipping?! That’s a bummer! I love their stuff too. I bought a parson’s table from them and it arrived really quickly. I was really pleased with the service. Was hoping to order more stuff!

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
