every now & then i come across the kind of nook that makes me want to burn all of my possessions & start over…
ok, well, drama over… maybe not all of my belongings, but let’s just say the lion’s share…
there’s something to be said for stripping a room bare & going back to basics…
& today’s nook promotes the adage that mother {nature} really does know best: bare plaster walls & polished concrete flooring prove the perfect foil for slubby wool, flowing linens & earthen pots…
throw some warm woods & metal finishes into the mix & my world is complete…

These types of rooms always remind me of Spanish villas or Italian country houses. I love all the rough wood and grays. Sign me up! I love the juxtaposition of that lamp and those clay pots on top of the dresser.
