a few more pretties from the latest issue of rue…
& today i have my eye firmly on the work of designer michael moeller…
the former hgtv design star finalist & style network host put his spin on a bachelor pad in new york’s west village…
the result? a rustic yet sophisticated loft space which is both warm & welcoming {no easy feat in a former factory}…
whilst i love the open plan layout, exposed brickwork, rafters & columns, i may be tempted to add a bit more oomph with some deep inky hues & swap out the metal & glass chandelier for a chunky, layered porcelain feature… oh, & a swathe of velvet in the form of a curtain, but otherwise i’m sold!
i’m so jealous of this cosy bar nook which would look equally at home in a boutique hotel…
the earthy tones & textures bring a warm & welcoming vibe…
while an altar-style niche & some form of mythical horned & winged creature invoked by a table-top vignette adds quirk & individuality…
warm & welcoming right? would you make your own tweaks or would you be happy to move in as is?
as always, i encourage you to check out the whole feature here & you can acquaint yourself with mr moeller’s further design offerings via his website…
