today, for the briefest of moments in time, i thought i had at last evaded the clutches of atelier abigail ahern…
on each & every prior visit i’ve found it impossible to resist the lure of their wares, but not so today: i flitted past the florals, resisted the call of the porcelain parrots & afforded but a cursory glance towards the sweetly-scented candles…
even after doing my compulsory second lap of the store {in case i missed something on the first circuit}, i came up empty handed…
& so it was as i stepped onto the pavement sans purchases i felt a wave of victory & pride wash over me… at last! hoorah!
then i got approximately 50 metres down the road, doubled back & snagged myself this smoky grey glass vase…
& it’s the perfect vessel to house some fresh green & white flowers i already had on hand {though i happily admit my inspiration for the arrangement came from here}
what do you think? fleeting madness or a fruitful second thought?

Definitely a fruitful second thought! Your arrangement may have been inspired by Gemma’s but I ADORE your take on it. Letting the berries trail out of (and away from) the vase? Genius!
Oh, and the vase isn’t half bad either.
P.S. Looks like your new home is already taking shape beautifully!
sweet of you to say my love! it’s coming along… can’t take any wide shots as there are just pockets that are done for now! haha
Yes your flat is looking really lovely!
I love that vase, I was eyeing it up in the shop too. Well done for being restrained, I bet you wanted to buy stacks more stuff xx
funnily enough, for the first time in a long time not much appealed there… i think the shop is in need of some more stock… it’s looking a little depleted (too popular!!!)… can’t wait to see what she brings in from maison!
