so excuse me, please, if my humour is a little darker than usual today {see this post to explain exactly why}…
but these little fuzzy friends from etsy trader f for felt really made me smile today…
a happy couple…
a rare breed…
& a trophy catch!
touted as “a whimsical accessory on the black-ish side of humor”, these eco-friendly finds are intended to respond to your “predatory needs”…
i just think they’re rather cute…

so, i thought i’d show you a little behind the scenes at casa sue today… to prove that not all in the land of blogs & interiors is fun & glamorous & tickety boo!
things have probably been looking business-as-usual in these parts of late… certainly last night’s rummage through the pages of lonny’s latest offerings did nothing to arouse suspicions that anything was awry…
but that, my friends, was all a mask… my way of blocking out the chaos that was… a coping mechanism, if you will…
& so, in the interests of authenticity, allow me to offer you a glance behind the scenes at the museum… or should this blog post be called “all the fun of the fair”?
but first, let me take you back to happier times… when the sun was shining & there were still hopes of any semblance of a summer here in blighty…
to a time when my bedroom looked like this…
as blogged about in this happy post…
oh happy days… look at my beautiful bed & all its finery… those layered linens & cosy cushions… my gorgeous lamps traipsed all the way from melbourne, australia… admire, if you will, the soft & snugly sheepskins that lay in wait of our rested feet each morning…
yes, indeed… breathe in the beauty of our little self-created dream factory in all of its glory because now, my friends, it looks like this:
yup, uhuh… better believe it… the same room…
there waiting for me on my return from work yesterday was this festering pile of building debris & devastation & all things nasty…
a blocked drain from the flat above left to fester too long, coupled with some seriously dubious building work, & voila… this is what you get!
not quite the dream factory now is it!?!
on an extremely positive note, i can at least say that we had the good fortune to not be occupying our bed when all of this devastation unfolded {particularly as there are some sizeable chunks of concrete in the debris right about where our heads would have been}…
to say my sense of humour has been sorely tested these past 24 hours is an ever-so-slight understatement…
but, you know what… shite happens… even to us happy bloggers…
rant over… back later with some fun stuff {because quite frankly, i need it!}
