peacock pavilions is, of course, the exquisite, exotic & tantalising retreat of maryam montague of my marrakesh {as featured in the latest edition of lonny magazine}

i’ve shown you a sneak peek of peacock pavilions once before when discussing how to create transitional spaces that rock, but lonny’s in-depth tour is like being transported to a whole other world entirely… i’m absolutely mesmerised!

a riot of colour greets visitors in this vibrant entrance…

& if you’ve ever feared layering pattern, upon pattern, upon pattern, fear no more… as this energising space clearly proves, the effect is nothing short of spectacular!

& if ever there was a nook that stood testimony to the magic of layering, this is it: colour, texture & pattern combined create pure moroccan magic…

even a neutral palette is enlivened with lovely layers & detail, detail, detail… this time black & white photography turns a bathroom into a picture gallery {definitely a look i’m inspired to recreate}…

whilst a grouping of like objects makes a calm oasis of what might otherwise be a sea of chaos…

once again proving the theory that you can never have too much detail, lovely clusters of gold-tassled pendant lights play alongside a bold-patterned ceiling in dreamy teal tones…

& nature’s sculptural offerings sit in sweet juxtaposition to a collection of smooth man-made vessels standing sentry from behind…

finally, an assortment of multi-coloured trinkets look good enough to eat nestled within the confines of a wooden bowl…
