another lovely nook today again proving under the stairs has never been so popular {as posted about here}…
more & more i’m seeing this previously neglected space becoming a feature in itself through the use of some clever styling & furnishings…
with crisp white walls, polished concrete floors & steel railings as a backdrop, this zone could easily feel cold & unwelcoming, but the rich earthy hues of the vintage leather seats immediately inject warmth into the space… so much so, the need for rugs or soft furnishings has been negated completely {that is, if you don’t count the hounds}…
this coupling of sofas nestled around a simple wooden block also serves to define the space as a room in itself, whilst a series of simple graphic black & white artworks & a foliage-filled urn further reinforce the parameters…
what do you think? would you change anything in this nook or do you think it’s snug enough as is?
