I had the same problem when I left my comment yesterday. Thankfully, I had copied it beforehand (force of habit!) and I was able to try again with a different e-mail address.

I’m on self hosted now through machighway. It’s really cheap. Cost me $80USD to move it. Can post video and stuff too now. Not that I have though. That commenting thing was causing me real issues. The main problem being that it deletes your comment if it errors and you have to type the whole thing again!
