colour stories {an ode to green}…

as a wee nod to our irish friends near & far {especially the ones currently spilling out of the bar across the road from my flat!}… a quick ode to one of my favourite colours of the spectrum, green {worthy of its own post, to be sure!}

mint, lime, forest, avocado & olive, eucalyptus or sage… with names like that it’s no wonder it’s the colour most commonly associated with nature… but whatever way you spin it, it’s a versatile little number…

softly spoken in muted tones, calm greens caress you tenderly with the promise of peace & harmony restored…

turn it up a notch &, like those first buds of spring, the freshest of greens promise renewal & growth… in one powerful burst they uplift & invigorate, energise & restore…

like a watering hole on a hot summer’s day, deep & enticing greens both tantalise & delight… & what lies within these jewel-toned depths promises to transport you, on a wave of romanticism, to another time & place…

but forage deeper & darker into forestry greens if you dare, as the line between scholarly & foreboding can be a thin one… think carefully & tread wearily in order to flourish in such murky depths!

but, truth be told, whatever shimmering shade of green takes your fancy, you can feel safe in the knowledge that mother nature would never steer you wrong… would she?
