sunday styling {my home}…

happy sunday lovelies!

as my man is currently half-way up a mountain, half-way around the world {not banished for bad behaviour, just trekking the inca trail} i’ve had some time up my sleeves… and, as it’s been another gray ol’ day in london town, it’s been the perfect opportunity to partake in some sunday styling…

you know the deal, pulling everything off shelves & out of cupboards & generally trashing the joint in the hope of creating something fresh…

anyways, thought i’d share a few snaps of some previously overlooked spaces at last getting some lurrrrve…

the entrance hallway… really one of the most important spaces in a home as it’s the first thing people see when they arrive… it sets the tone for what is to come and, if done correctly, creates excitement & anticipation {well, not sure ours exactly lives up to all that… but at least there is now a focal point or two to catch the eye and lead it onwards}

i love the use of art & flowers in a kitchen… it makes an otherwise purely functional space feel more in harmony with the rest of the home…

a little nook by the fireplace {hole in the wall}… we never did really figure out what this wee hole in the wall is all about, but as we live above a bank i like to imagine that all manner of treasures have called it home at some time or another… {how to put a romantic spin on a hole in your wall}

any rearranging going down in your neck of the woods this weekend?

  1. I love the vignette from your kitchen. Ours is rubbish and maybe that’s what it needs, some vintage silver and fresh flowers. Love the glossy black surfaces too!

    • thanks love… can definitely advocate flowers & art in a kitchen… i think they soften the space and make it distinctly more welcoming… would love to have a whole gallery look going on!

i'd love to hear your thoughts...
